18 Fresh Summer Pasta Recipes to Make Before the Season’s Over
These dishes make the most of peak produce.

Yes, grill fatigue can be real. If you don’t want to fire it up for a meal right now, might we suggest pasta that boasts the freshest produce of the season? While pasta can be a heavy and filling dish, summer variations are far from the traditional meaty red sauces that are extra comforting during cooler months but not exactly a craving in 90-degree weather.
We’re talking light and healthy vegetable pastas that really lean into what’s in season at the farmers market, like Italian Sausage and Zucchini Pasta, Elote Spaghetti, and End-of-Summer Pasta. Or seafood options that aren’t laden with thick creamy sauces: Orecchiette with Clams, Chiles, and Parsley, Angel Hair Pasta with Shrimp and Green Garlic, and Sea Urchin Linguine. And that’s not to say we should write off red sauces completely—you can still make good use of peak tomatoes (and get that red sauce taste) with Pasta with Basil, Tomatoes, and Feta and Orecchiette with Cherry Tomatoes, Marjoram, and Ricotta Salata.
