No one does fall quite like Trader Joe’s. Shelves start overflowing with everything pumpkin, maple, cranberry, apple, and butternut squash-flavored. This year, TJ’s is offering a surplus of ways to bring these cozy flavors home.
Of course, pumpkin spice leads the way; you’ll find it in coffee, sauces, and even Chardonnay. However, some of the year’s most intriguing finds move beyond this flavor, highlighting other seasonal favorites. There’s a White Stilton with Cranberries that looks made for the fall cheese board, Maple Brown Butter Almonds perfect for on-the-go snacking, and Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese for a unique twist on a beloved comfort food. These are just a few options, with Trader Joe’s releasing more than 100 fall products this year, ranging from cozy meals to unique fall-themed desserts and autumnal drinks. And the best part? There’s something for everyone—even your furry friends can get seasonal treats like Maple and Sweet Potato Flavored Sandwich Cookies!
This year’s lineup features a variety of brand-new arrivals alongside seasonal staples shoppers wait all year to see on the shelves again. “Our buyers travel the world searching for products we think are exceptional and will find a following among our customers,” explains Nakia Rohde, the company’s public relations manager. New additions this season include Apple Crisp Milk Chocolate Caramels, Pumpkin Cream Cheese Croissants, and Just Like Your Grandma’s Stuffing Chicken Sausage.
For products to earn a coveted spot on Trader Joe’s shelves, they must undergo a rigorous tasting panel process that considers both quality and price. If a product makes the cut, Rohde says it becomes “an essential part of the Trader Joe’s shopping adventure.” This is only part of the equation, with shoppers themselves deciding what stays and goes.
“Customers determine what they like for us to bring back year after year,” Rohde says. Items like Maple Leaf Ice Cream Sandwiches and Fall Harvest Salsa are returning, having quickly become year-after-year sensations.
Regardless of whether you’re a firm supporter of pumpkin spice or would rather spend fall surrounded by other flavors, Trader Joe’s has plenty to choose from. From easy fall dinners and decadent desserts to an array of cheeses, drinks, party staples, and snacks, these are the Trader Joe’s products we’re most excited to see on shelves this year.
