Take a Tour of This Dreamy French Chateau-Inspired Winery

The redesigned entry hall instantly immerses visitors into the Jordan ethos, highlighted by a bespoke reception desk crafted from Ponte Vecchio-honed marble, echoing the George V Hotel in Paris. A 17th-century Aubusson tapestry portrays a serene French forest, complemented by a quaint windowpane pendant featuring a dual-arm candelabrum.

Adjacent to the entry is the grand salon, which serves as a lounge for guests who are checking in to one of the chateau’s suites or waiting to embark on one of the winery’s daily activities. Expertly crafted O. Henry House sofas and rugs from Tony Kitz Gallery harmoniously coexist with exquisite antiques: Napoleon III era armchairs reupholstered with contemporary fabric; treasured 18th-century sketches from Paris’s esteemed Galerie Marie-Pierre Jaudel Antiquités; a specially designed Louis XVI-influenced walnut console; and meticulously curated decorative items from Paris, Provence, and American antique shops. The room’s grandeur is crowned by Fisher Weisman chandeliers, boasting 14 candelabras and sweeping curves.

Opposite the entry hall lies a dual-purpose retail boutique and reception area.

This inviting space offers guests a curated selection of Jordan merchandise and a visual journey through Jordan’s heritage via a 19-piece art ensemble. This captivating array features three unique pieces that narrate Jordan’s storied past, accompanied by 16 French prints and etchings spanning the 17th to 19th centuries. A standout piece is a dynamic portrait of John Jordan by celebrated illustrator Sharif Tarabay, notably his inaugural video portrait on a digital canvas. An ornate Chippendale mirror, adorned with an acanthus motif and bathed in antique gold leaf, hearkens back to the Rococo era of the 18th century, while a chandelier inspired by cascading palm leaves introduces a contemporary flair. The space is further enhanced with Louis XVI-style seating and newly installed French doors, ushering guests into Jordan’s Bacchus Courtyard.

The room showcases elegant wooden furnishings, from a statement walnut table and tailored walnut wine cabinet to a 19th-century French display unit hailing from the Napoleon III era.

Here, a bee-friendly garden and elegant marble fountain create a serene retreat. 

For the lobby bathrooms, Jordan commissioned Gracie, a storied family business specializing in hand-painted wall decorations since 1898. They tailor-made a unique mural of the property’s beloved Linda’s Garden for the ladies’ restroom.

The mural features oak and citrus trees, blossoming dogwood, kites, and an egret—all species native to the vast 1,200-acre Jordan Estate. Gracie devoted roughly 500 hours to perfecting this handcrafted mural.

In contrast, the men’s restroom features a subtle monochromatic mural of a forested landscape by Susan Harter. Both restrooms are complemented with exquisite marble flooring and countertops from Ann Sacks and fixtures and sconces from Waterworks.
