North Lake Tahoe SNOWFEST is a weeklong celebration of mountain culture where locals and visitors come together to play, connect, and give back. Set against the snowy shoreline of Lake Tahoe, this beloved winter tradition transforms the region into a high-energy, community-powered festival filled with outdoor adventure, live music, and one-of-a-kind alpine experiences.

Since 1982, SNOWFEST has grown into one of the most anticipated winter events in the West, drawing more than 20,000 attendees annually. Over 50 events span multiple North Lake Tahoe communities—including Tahoe City, Kings Beach, Olympic Valley, Alpine Meadows, Homewood, and Incline Village—creating a true regional celebration.

At its core, SNOWFEST is about impact. The festival raises more than $180,000 annually for local nonprofits, supporting youth programs, public initiatives, and scholarships for local students—all powered by a passionate volunteer community.
