Donato & Co. is a restaurant and bar located in Berkeley’s bustling Elmwood District that offers authentic Italian cuisine in a chic setting with high ceilings, exposed brick and an open kitchen. The restaurant uses fresh, simple ingredients in inventive ways to highlight and celebrate each region of Italy.

Donato Scotti, originally from Bergamo, and Gianluca Guglielmi, originally from Vicenza, are the restaurant’s culinary tour de force. Inspired by their upbringing and culinary training in Italy, they are passionate about using artisan ingredients imported from Italy, as well as seasonal local produce and fresh meats, which are cooked over a live fire. The restaurant has a robust portfolio of sommelier-selected Italian wines and features Italian vintners at special winemaker dinners throughout the year. Donato & Co. has a state-of-the art sound system created by Meyer Sound that allows for easy conversation while enveloping guests in a warm acoustic atmosphere.
