San Diego cider pioneer, Bivouac Ciderworks, new Adventure Lodge & General Store goes all in on the women-powered cidery’s outdoor adventure ethos, inviting guests to “choose their own adventure.” The multi-concept community space, directly adjacent to Bivouac’s award-winning North Park taproom, draws design inspiration from the “glamping yurt” concept and combines rugged outdoor aesthetics with refined interiors. Choose from several unique offerings under a yurt-inspired roof: a cider bar for Pommelier (cider expert) led tastings of Bivouac and other local ciders, as well as those from regions the world over, General Store retailing painstakingly sourced pantry goods and provisions, gifts, outdoor gear, and chef-driven “grab ‘n stay” foods, coffee shop for espresso-based drinks and fresh, locally made pastries, “salon d’eau de vie” Speakeasy, and the cidery’s expanded production (more small-batch experimentation). And throughout, every effort is made to “leave no trace” with the use of reusable containers, packaging, and low-waste practices.
