But for those of us who need to get outside for the sake of our own sanity, there’s no better way to stay cool and energized than by exploring some of the stunning coastal hikes of the West. From rugged cliffs to sandy shores, these trails promise breathtaking views and a refreshing ocean breeze that’s a welcome respite form the heat. McWay Falls Trail (Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park, California)
