Sunset Cocktail
Kai Loebach spilled a bartending secret for creating a layered cocktail: The heaviest liquids always sink to the bottom, so if you’re using a thick liqueur, pour that in at the last minute after the other liquids have been mixed—then leave it alone. This drink could be made in bulk: It’s just one part simple syrup to two parts fruit juice, and roughly an ounce of spirits per serving.
How to Make It
In a mixing glass, combine lime juice and simple syrup and mix thoroughly.
Pour into a rocks glass with plenty of ice.
Add vodka and stir.
Slowly pour grenadine into the glass, letting it settle in the bottom of the glass.
Garnish and serve.
