Are you getting married around Thanksgiving, perhaps even on Thanksgiving Day?! We totally get it — family is in town, it’s a time of joy and warmth, and don’t even get us started on all the gorgeous autumnal hues… Well, if this is you or if you’re considering a fall wedding, you’re going to LOVE today’s editorial from Carol Oliva Photography + designer Willow and Plum!
Carol shares a little about the inspiration behind this shoot: This is for the couple that wanted to highlight the Thanksgiving warmth, but didn’t want to have it be all about orange colors and pumpkins! The bride and groom wanted a modern and different way to combine the celebration of their love with the sentiment of thanksgiving. So we came up with the idea of the geometric design for the altar in a triangular form, representing gratitude.
Let’s take a look at the gorgeous area of Gardener Ranch in Carmel Valley, shall we?

A Thanksgiving wedding wouldn’t be complete without a rich fall color palette, so the tones for the day were earthy, autumnal and had accents of jewel tones and gold, as seen in this bouquet crafted by Willow and Plum.

Pomegranates + beeswax candles served as the main décor, and there was an abundance of pillows, too. Everything was designed to feel warm, cozy + inviting.
