Rumor Designs is a full-service interior design and furnishings studio based in downtown Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Since its founding in 2008, the firm has specialized in transforming mountain-region residences and commercial spaces through a signature “mountain-modern” aesthetic. 

At Rumor Designs, our mission is to continuously innovate the design process with passion and commitment, bringing our love for design into the homes of our community. Our process begins with listening: We explore each client’s vision, needs, and personality, and we welcome opportunities to layer color, pattern, texture, and fine finishes in ways that reflect mountain living while remaining contemporary.

Whether directing a full architectural-interior build, selecting bespoke furnishings and accessories, or orchestrating a thoughtful redesign of an alpine retreat, we are dedicated to exploring new ideas and honoring regional context. Our downtown Steamboat Springs studio is not only a design office, but a curated retail showroom and creative hub located in the restored 1897 Hugus Building, where exposed stone from Emerald Mountain and industrial heritage meet modern furnishings.
