For nearly five decades, Creative Environments has grown from a small, family-run operation into one of the Bay Area’s most respected and enduring landscape firms. Our longevity is rooted in craftsmanship and collaboration, guided by a team of designers, masons, carpenters, welders, and foremen who approach each project with artistry and precision. We are proud to lead clients from concept through construction and honored to bring to life the visions of Northern California’s most notable landscape architects.

In 2024, the company entered a new era as Lindsey North—a licensed C-27 contractor, fine artist, and seasoned landscape designer—assumed ownership from her parents, founders Deborah and Harry North. Drawing on over a decade of hands-on design and field experience, Lindsey brings a fresh, creative perspective rooted in her deep respect for natural materials and enduring form. Under her leadership, Creative Environments continues to shape spaces that feel grounded, timeless, and inspired—built with the same craftsmanship, integrity, and care that have defined the company since 1978.
