These Candles Will Give You All the Cozy Feels You Need This Fall—And They’re All Made in the West

For those of us living in SoCal, the fall weather has yet to arrive, so aromatherapy really is one of the only ways to feel the seasonal shift—aside from stockpiling the pumpkin-flavored everything at Trader Joe’s, that is. We’ve gathered some of our favorite candles made in the West for you to get your dose of cozy this fall, many of which evoke the aromas of some of favorite scent memories from traveling throughout the region. You can find Central Coast-made Fable Rune in some of our favorite hotels like Skyview Los Alamos and restaurants such as Bar Le Côte. Fable Rune’s soy wax blends are infused with fragrance and essential oils inspired by some of our favorite locales. The Sea Palm & Cypress plays off the aromas of the cliffsides of Montaña De Oro and Big Sur, with mossy marine notes of saltwater from the California coast and the warm sandy Cypress groves framing the sea. Arizona-based Enlighten creates balanced scents inspired by the healing energy of the Sonoran Desert. While we love the top notes of sweet agave and orange in the hand-poured Saguaro Blossom candle, their other seasonal scents like Pomegranate Cider and Dusk are also hygge-inducing. It’s worth nothing that their products are made of 100% pure non-gmm soy wax, lead-free cotton wicks, and absolutely no dyes or additives for a truly clean, eco-friendly burn. It throws nicely, and the minimalist design itself is soothing.

We admittedly are obsessed with “The World’s Best-Smelling Sunscreen” from VACATION just as much as the next beach bum, and now it’s available in deluxe perfumed candle form. Though this might not be a traditional fall scent, if you’re having trouble letting go of summer or are just a bit of a nonconformist, this rich, double-concentrated blend of aromas like coconut water, coconut milk, bergamot, banana, pineapple, and sea salt will take you right back.
