Sip on a refreshing drink as Brittney shares stories about living in Seattle before learning to cook a seasonal, Asian-inspired, Pacific Northwest meal in her kitchen. Begin by preparing fish – native salmon or black cod sourced from the only local community-supported fishery in Washington. Next, create a cabbage and carrot slaw in a ginger soy vinaigrette. Hone techniques involved in whipping a miso parsnip purée to accompany the furikake-crusted black cod caught off the Washington coast that you seared and roasted in the oven. Enjoy your culinary creations over wine and conversation at your host’s dining table. Your meal concludes with a dessert such as poached pears and memories to last a lifetime.
