Tōst

Tōst is an on-mountain tradition at Northstar California Resort that takes place each Thursday – Monday. Each afternoon, skiers and riders pull in for a toast overlooking Lake Tahoe. Tucked just off of East Ridge, the ski-up stop makes it easy to pause mid-day, glass in hand, and take in the iconic views of the lake. Every day at 2 p.m., a limited number of complimentary glasses of sparkling wine, in partnership with Moët Chandon, or apple cider are poured for a celebratory moment. After the glasses are handed out, the bartender reads a poem and everyone toasts with cheers. If you want in, it’s worth lining up early, though additional sparkling wine is available for purchase before and after. Tōst has become part of the daily rhythm on the mountain, a chance to slow down before heading back out to finish up the ski and ride day.
