The Western Hotel and Spa

The Western is an iconic Old West property located in the historic mining town of Ouray, Colorado, that has been restored and opened in summer 2023 with 16 refined suites, a historic saloon, acclaimed wood-fired restaurant, a boutique general store and coffee bar, custom concierge service, and sprawling outdoor patio and event spaces. As one of the last standing timber frame buildings in the West and maintaining its Western history and decor, each space within the building creates a unique experience for guests. New, the Western completed and opened its Grotto Spa in late summer 2024 built into the hotel’s historic red brick and stone foundation with a dry sauna, cold plunge, treatment rooms, large soaking hot tub and lounge area. Artfully combining the hotel’s Old West heritage with natural elements, the warm, indirect lighting on dark wood cladding and original masonry adds to the inviting, historic ambiance.
