Mammoth’s newest resort opened in November 2022, welcoming snow enthusiasts to the mountain destination just in time for a record-breaking season with 600 inches of snowfall—and counting. Occupying a historic 1967 originally owned by the late LA Lakers owner Jerry Buss, the reimagined Sierra Nevada Resort welcomes guests to a western classic reborn as a modern mountain retreat encompassing 179 accommodations including deluxe rooms, fireplace suites, and chalets. Between year-round adventure pursuits, guests can refuel at Bar Sierra, the resort’s new contemporary California restaurant concept, or unwind at the fireside lobby wine bar helmed by a dedicated sommelier.
