Route 66 Remixed

Along Albuquerque’s stretch of Route 66, 18 miles, 19 installations, 20 artists, and one poet come together for Route 66 Remixed, an open-air art gallery celebrating the spirit of the Mother Road. This immersive experience invites visitors to slow down, explore, and discover unexpected moments of creativity at every turn, from bold murals and interactive augmented reality (AR) experiences to poetic storytelling rooted in place.

Route 66 Remixed shines a spotlight on Albuquerque’s dynamic creative community and its innovative approach to cultural storytelling. The project is the result of a powerful collaboration led by the City of Albuquerque’s Department of Arts & Culture, in partnership with Meow Wolf, Refract Studio, and the city’s diverse network of local artists.

It’s a fresh, art-forward take on a classic American road trip, where every stop tells a story.
