High Camp Taphouse
Central Oregon residents Nurbu and Pema Sherpa recently brought Himalayan cuisine and hospitality to an unlikely spot—the quaint western-themed town of Sisters, Oregon. In 2016, they successfully launched their highly popular food truck, Himalayan Bites, in Bend, Oregon. In June of 2022, they expanded by opening High Camp Taphouse in Sisters, where the Nepalese food is delicious, and the taps are filled with 20 local beers and ciders. They strive to create a sense of community, while concurrently offering a bridge to Nepal—using a portion of their profits to support the impoverished Nepali untouchable community.
