The ‘Hocus Pocus’ Cottage Is on Airbnb for $31 a Night—Here’s How to Book It
And yes, the spellbook and Black Flame Candle are inside.
Come, we fly! It’s time to head to the Sanderson Sisters’ spooky cottage, which is now on Airbnb. The Sanderson Sisters are, for those not in the know, a trio of witches (played by Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker), from the classic (and beloved) Disney film, Hocus Pocus.
To celebrate the release of the second film Hocus Pocus 2, which premieres on Sept. 30 on Disney+, the sisters are “inviting” two guests to spend the night at a re-creation of their iconic cottage in Salem, Massachusetts, on Oct. 20. “We all know that the Sanderson Sisters’ story might not have ended when we turned to dust, nor did our shenanigans,” said Najimy, who plays Mary Sanderson, in a press release. “What better way to celebrate the season than to host guests at the trio’s historic haunt for a night they’ll remember for years to come?”
Fans of the movie will be happy to find that the cottage looks exactly as it did in the movie—complete with creaky wooden boards, cupboards filled with apothecary bottles, a cauldron for potions, and broomsticks. And of course, there are the two infamous relics inside: The sisters’ spellbook (guests can try their hand at casting enchantments) and the Black Flame Candle (virgins, beware!). Guests will also be able to explore mysterious Salem during their stay and visit haunted properties to get in the spooky spirit. And in even better news, Airbnb is making a one-time donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem as well.
For a chance to book a $31 stay, go to airbnb.com/hocuspocus2 on Oct. 12 at 1 p.m. ET to request and you might be the lucky guest who snags the exclusive booking. Travel is not provided with the booking, so you’ll have to find your own broomstick to get there.
