Spending more time at home and looking to step up its style? Here are some easy changes that interior designer Natalie Myers recommends trying at home.
Spending more time at home means more time to figure out how we want to enjoy our space—and how we want to change it. “This will absolutely be the time that many of us will tackle the small and large home projects we have been putting off,” says interior designer Natalie Myers. “Besides reorganizing and purging my closet, I plan on doing the following easy changes around the house.”
“Swap out your cabinet hardware for a refreshed look,” says Myers. The easy upgrade only requires a screwdriver and a new set of cabinet pulls, and can immediately give the kitchen, bath, or any room with cabinets a whole new look.
The guest room is the perfect place to try something fun since it’s a less-used room in your home. Need ideas? Try one of these DIY paint projects.
Myers recommends installing new light fixtures and sconces to easily update your space—with one caveat. “Only if you feel confident with electrical work,” she says.
“Wash and refresh all the bedding in the house,” suggests Myers. If you’re looking for a whole new look, try shopping for a new duvet cover or bedspread.
