A new year brings new Trader Joe’s products, which means it’s time for a TJ’s run. This month’s lineup has a variety of offerings from all kinds of cuisines, from Thai to Indian to Italian to Spanish. That’s good news for adventurous eaters who are always down for a Trader Joe’s taste-test.
And there aren’t just new food options, there’s something for your pets and household, too. TJ’s has chicken and bone broth dog treats, almond vanilla scented hand soap, and even dishwasher detergent packs. Just think—you can get your all your shopping done in one trip!
Take a look at all the new products below.
Aglio Olio Seasoning Blend, $2
The classic Neapolitan pasta dish, aglio e olio, inspired this seasoning blend. It contains all the flavor components of the dish, plus parsley flakes and sea salt. Use it on noodles for a quick dish, make a dipping sauce with olive oil, make a compound butter, or use it as a dry rub—it’s versatile!
Kanom Krok Thai Coconut Pancakes, $3
Get the popular Thai street food, kanom kook, at home. The bite-sized coconut pancakes are a sweet and salty treat that can be prepared in the air fryer or microwave.
Jalapeño & Cream Cheese Crispy Wontons, $5
If a rangoon and a jalapeño popper had a baby, it would be this appetizer. The outside is a crispy wonton skin, while the inside is a creamy mixture of cream cheese, Parmesan, and diced jalapeño.
Garlic Shiitake Green Beans, $3
Here’s another Thai-inspired dish to get excited about. This one combines Thai-grown green beans with a soy-based sauce that contains garlic and shiitake mushrooms.
Chocolate Almond Protein Smoothie Beverage, $3
Get your protein fix with this delicious smoothie that contains chocolate oat beverage and almond paste. Drink it by itself, or TJ’s also says it’s good blended with a shot of espresso.
Spring Rolls with Tofu, $5
Whether you’re enjoying these spring rolls as a snack, lunch, or side, you’re going to be satisfied. It’s inspired by traditional Vietnamese gỏi cuốn, with tofu, mung bean noodles, lettuce, carrots, red cabbage, and mint leaves all rolled in chewy rice paper with a cashew dipping sauce on the side.
Spring Rolls with Shrimp, $6
There’s also a non-vegetarian spring roll option for you with shrimp inside.
A Handful of Tiny Dark Chocolate Covered Pretzels, $1
If you’re already a fan of TJ’s chocolate-covered pretzels, you’re going to want to try this mini version. The bite-sized pretzels are covered in dark chocolate and come in small bags—perfect for a lunch box!
Trader Joe’s Brown Sugar Cardamom Buns, $4
Breakfast just got a little sweeter with this new treat. Trader Joe’s took the traditional rolled Danish pastries and incorporated the warm and zingy cardamom spice and brown sugar.
Peanut Butter Flavored Baking Chips, $3
Mix in these baking chips to cookies, brownies, cakes, and more for a creamy, nutty, and sweet taste. Or you can add these to a trail mix or on top of ice cream.
Chicken & Bone Broth Recipe Dog Treats, $4
Your dog won’t be left out of this TJ’s taste-test—they can try these new dog treats that are made from a mix of chicken, oat and rice flours, molasses, and dried chicken bone broth.
Almond Vanilla Scented Foaming Hand Soap, $3
This foaming hand soap has a delicious scent of sweet almond extract and vanilla fragrance.
Rosatella Pasta Sauce, $4
Preparing dinner just got easier with this pink sauce. It contains a cream and milk blend, tomato paste, onion and garlic purées, basil, oregano, and Grana Padano PDO cheese.
Bourbon Vanilla Bean Paste, $5
Move over vanilla extract, it’s time for vanilla paste to shine. TJ’s says while vanilla extract is made by soaking pure vanilla beans in a solution of water and alcohol, vanilla paste is a mix of vanilla beans, sugar syrup, and some vanilla extract. The paste is thicker and richer—so use it in recipes that are vanilla-forward.
Baingan Bharta, $3
TJ’s is adding another frozen Indian entrée to the mix with this Punjabi eggplant dish (roasted eggplant combined with onion, garlic, turmeric, fenugreek leaves, and green chili peppers).
Fairtrade Organic Five Country Blend, $7
Just like its name suggests, this dark roast coffee is sourced from five countries: Guatemala, Indonesia, Honduras, Mexico, and Peru.
Jersey Gouda, $13
Made from the protein-and-calcium-rich milk of purebred Dutch cows, this gouda is full-bodied, creamy, and savory.
Automatic Dishwasher Detergent Packs Free & Clear, $5
These plastic-free detergent packs contain potent enzymes (proteases and amylase) and plant-based surfactants to leave your dishes and glassware sparkling.
Chicken, Lentil, and Caramelized Onion Pilaf, $4
Inspired by the Persian dish Adas Polo, this pilaf dish is a mix basmati rice, green lentils, caramelized onions, dark meat chicken, golden raisins, and dates. You can prepare it in the microwave or on the stove.
Sweetened Green Mango, $2
These dried mangos are great to snack on—they’re sweet with a touch of tartness.
Tofu Sheets, $3
Trader Joe’s says these aren’t technically traditional tofu—they’re actually known as “Yuba,” which is the “tofu skin” that forms atop soy milk when it’s heated on a stovetop. But it functions similarly to tofu—soaking up the flavors of whatever it’s in. Use it in curries or stir fries, or even as a wrapper for veggie rolls.
Tortilla Española, $5
If a Spanish tortilla is your favorite thing on a tapas menu, you’re going to be happy that you can get it at Trader Joe’s now. It’s made with eggs, potatoes, and thinly sliced onions. Make it on the stovetop or microwave.
Spicy Peanutty Noodle Bowl with Chicken, $3
For a quick meal, pop this dandan noodle-inspired bowl in the microwave. It’s made with chewy wheat noodles, minced chicken, chopped vegetables, and a spicy peanut sauce.
Trader Joe’s Organic Darjeeling Green Tea, $4
Did you know that Darjeeling is often called the “Champagne of teas”? I didn’t! This green tea is bright and slightly fruity.
Hardwood Smoked Pulled Chicken, $9
This seasoned chicken is so easy to serve—microwave it for three minutes or pop it in the oven for 20 minutes. Trader Joe’s recommends tossing it in its Organic Kansas City BBQ Sauce and serving it on its brioche bun or sweet Aloha roll.
