Zaytinya Culver City
Zaytinya blends José Andrés Group’s celebrated hospitality with Los Angeles’ creative spirit and California’s abundance of produce and hyperlocal ingredients. Guests at Zaytinya are greeted with the restaurant’s signature breezy ambiance, evoking the Mediterranean, with a dining room awash in navy blue hues, birch wood chairs, custom-made hanging lamps, and potted olive trees.
Zaytinya’s signature menu, developed over decades of research by José Andrés and concept chef Michael Costa into the intersecting cuisines of Greece, Lebanon, and Turkey, features spreads like hommus and htipiti; vegetable, seafood, and meat mezzes; airy housemade pita; and family-style entrees—with a focus on seasonality, incorporating California’s abundance of produce from local farmers, fishers, and ranchers. The added element of a wood-burning hearth imparts rich, smoky flavors to Zaytinya’s Culver City menu, with dishes such as grilled lamb chops with smoked labneh, tzatziki, and harissa chili crisp, and the signature whole grilled Mediterranean sea bass.
