The Lodge at Dawn Ranch

The Lodge at Dawn Ranch is set in one of California’s most unique microclimates at the foothills of the expansive redwood forest found in Guerneville, Sonoma County. At the restaurant’s helm are Co-Executive Chefs Juliana Thorpe and Ignacio (Nacho) Zuzulich, reinventing California cuisine with influences from their South American heritage. Each dish at The Lodge draws on Chef Juliana’s countryside upbringing in the picturesque mountains of Matutu, Brazil, Chef Ignacio’s roots in Córdoba, Argentina — where his family ran a long-standing restaurant — and their shared experience in Michelin-starred kitchens, from Mugaritz in Spain to Meadowood in Napa Valley. Together, the husband-and-wife duo create a dialogue of flavors, blending the warmth of Brazil, the boldness of Argentina, and the freshness of California bounty. Genaro Gallo – one of the world’s youngest Advanced Sommeliers – leads the restaurant’s groundbreaking wine program, which features century-old vintages and bottles of near-mythic rarity.
