Edibles 101
An L.A.-based company looks to educate the next generation of Western gardeners
You can’t graduate from a West Coast grammar school anymore without knowing a bit about edible planting. In fact, I would be surprised if most 6-year-olds don’t know their way around the garden more than me. Now, Woolly Pockets—the LA-based company that creates plant-pocket containers so you can grow EVERYwhere—is joining the schoolyard garden fray, helping educate the next generation of green thumbs at schools nationwide. I wish they’d come to my house with all the swag they’re bringing to school gardens: planting charts, gardening manuals, premium soil, organic seeds, compost tea and nutrition and gardening curriculum lessons.
