Disneyland Is Transforming into a Holiday Wonderland. Here’s Where to Go
You can expect special rides, festivities, and more to celebrate myriad holidays of the season.
The classic Disney magic is officially taking on holiday flair! From Nov. 11 to Jan. 8, Disneyland in California will transform into a winter wonderland, covered in festive decorations and a gentle blanket of snow, with enough activities to keep the whole family entertained.
On Main Street, USA, Sleeping Beauty’s Castle will become Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle, adorned with lights, wreaths, and delicate icicles. The castle will also feature a 60-foot Christmas tree, both of which will be lit up nightly by the “Believe…in Holiday Magic” fireworks show.
The fireworks aren’t the only daily event, either: The park will also host “A Christmas Fantasy” parade, with all your favorite Disney characters, music, and the big man himself, Santa Claus.
Over in the Disney California Adventure Park, the Festival of Holidays will bring together all the holidays of the season, including Christmas, Kwanzaa, Diwali, Three Kings Day, and Hanukkah. At the park’s Paradise Gardens, there will be holiday-themed drinks and food plus, for a limited time, live music and dance performances.
Festivities and decorations aren’t the only changes; a few rides will get the holiday treatment as well. In the main park, check out “It’s a Small World” and the Nightmare Before Christmas-inspired Haunted Mansion. In Cars Land, have a go on Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl and Mater’s Jingle Jamboree.
Disney knows how to make a day feel special, and that only becomes more true during the holidays. Learn more here.
