The basement bathroom makes the most of simple, spare elements, such as a sink that’s carved out of a block of rough-hewn granite. It rests on a slab of highly polished concrete embedded with fragments of mother-of-pearl. The light-wood cabinet doors are covered in a grid motif, echoing the bedding in the guest bedroom and the entry hall patterns on the main floor.
