I wish there were a Bumble for outdoor showers. I’ve been looking for one forever, but every time I go online I just end up swiping left over and over. I pine for a shower that looks great, won’t require a lot of work, and cares about the environment—is that too much to ask?! It was until I saw this shower from Plant Material in Los Angeles. This outdoor shower is The One.

It figures that Plant Material, L.A.’s design-forward native plant store, found the watery love of my life. They have great taste, after all. Made of copper and concrete, this sculptural piece is literally twist-and-turn. As in, you twist your hose onto the base, and then you turn it on.

Neat, with a twist.

One caveat: This shower isn’t heated. But in the summer heat, who wants hot water? A simple hack if you do: I’m going to attach mine to this 100 percent toxic-free Water Right garden hose and leave it in the sun. But whether you run hot or cold, this gorgeous outdoor shower will be a chic and functional addition to any back or side yard, which means it’s my ultimate hook-up!
