Celebrity Chef Opens Swanky Steakhouse in the Heart of Wine Country
Perry Lang’s is now open in Yountville, serving chef Adam Perry Lang’s dry-aged beef, Napa Valley wine, and classic cocktails
Wine Country’s latest culinary trophy is a restaurant from renowned meat master Adam Perry Lang, Perry Lang’s. It’s now open in the heart of Yountville on the property of Estate Yountville, a hotel property featuring Hotel Villagio and Vintage House.
Perry Lang’s is right at home on the luxury property, inhabiting the historic Groezinger Estate House, which was built in 1870 and served as the main home on the estate that also housed a winery, creamery, stables, and barns. Now it’s a sleek steakhouse with modern light fixtures, exposed brick walls, hardwood flooring, and a dry-aging chamber with floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase Lang’s prized meats. A marble-topped bar with craft cocktails and Napa Valley wines is adjacent to the main dining room, which features a cozy fireplace and leather-bound chairs.

Perry Lang is known for his dedication to dry aging beef, with experience at New York City institutions like Le Cirque and Daniel; his flagship restaurant APL Steakhouse, opened in Hollywood in 2018 with a similarly meaty menu.
The menu at Perry Lang’s is a hybrid of classic steakhouse dishes—like Caesar salad, duck fat fries, and creamed spinach gratin—and produce-forward wine country cuisine. The chef’s love of barbecue is also a hallmark of the menu, allowing St. Louis Pork Ribs with crispy garlic and peach barbecue sauce to live alongside classic cuts like dry-aged New York Strip, Bone-In Rib-Eye, and a massive Tomahawk Chop. The dry-aged burger, adorned with American cheese, pickles, and mustard aioli, is a must-order for dining at the bar. (Editor’s note: Do not miss out on the grilled, thick-cut bacon.)

Unsurprisingly, the wine program is a reflection of the restaurant’s deep roots in Napa, starring local, premium wineries like 2017 Rivers Marie Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. Locals looking for something outside the wine sphere will be pleased to find a full selection of cocktails, both classic and modern, like the APL Old Fashioned made with Michter’s Single Barrel Rye.
Perry Lang’s is now open at 6539 Washington Street, Yountville, CA 94599; it’s open for dinner seven nights per week from 5 p.m. – 11 p.m.
