A $7 Muffin Worth the Money

Your eyes are not deceiving you. That is indeed a muffin with a perfectly cooked soft boiled egg in the center. The Rebel Within (what? your muffins don’t have names?) is the brain child of San Francisco pasty chef + wunderkind, William Werner* and can be found at his pâtisserie Craftsman & Wolves (picture a European jewelry shop that plays Bjork) in San Francisco’s Mission district. Nobody knows how WW does it and he isn’t telling. Not that we want him to; no rebel worth their salt would spill that kind of secret. But, if you figure it out, TELL US!
