Donato Enoteca

Now celebrating 15 years in Redwood City, Donato Enoteca is owned by Italian-born chef and wine aficionado Donato Scotti. The menu features a cross-section of Italian dishes that use seasonal local produce, homemade items, and specialty ingredients imported from Italy. Fresh pasta is an essential element, with unusual regional varieties like Bigoli, Scarpinocc, Foiade and Agnolotti del Plin. Donato Enoteca is also known for its wood-fired pizzas, baked to blistered perfection.

The restaurant’s comfortable interior is Italian to the core, with exposed-beam ceilings, an open kitchen and simple wooden furniture. The rear dining room is more plush and is available for private events. There is a full bar and a heated patio.

Scotti also owns CRU, a wine bar, cafe and retail shop just a few blocks from the restaurant, where you can find many of the same wines and high-quality imported ingredients he uses in the kitchen.
