Brine Box

Brine Box is a seafood venture from trailblazing Oceanside restaurateurs Jessica and Davin Waite, located on the seaward end of the iconic Oceanside Pier. Since its original construction in 1888, the 1,942-feet-long pier—the longest wooden pier on the West Coast—continues to serve as an iconic landmark in the city and a destination for locals and visitors alike. The Waites bring their infectious energy and a fresh perspective to pier dining, while activating a space that sat vacant since the pandemic. The Waites commitment to sustainability is reflected in their menu, featuring fully sustainable and zero-waste dishes. Brine Box sources unique species from local purveyors like famed fishmonger Tommy Gomes, ensuring that only the freshest, highest-quality ingredients are used. A revolving specials menu reflects what’s fresh from local harbors, such as rockfish in the winter and pelagic fish (swordfish, tuna) in the summer.
