For parents who prefer Mickey in moderation, this might be the happiest place on Earth. It’s pretty cool for children too. Noted one of our judges: “I’ve never been to Disneyland, and even I like this place.” Disney had its doubters when it set about building on Oahu’s leeward side (alarmists raised the specter of a theme park blighting paradise), but the company has struck a laudable balance, appealing to all ages while blending beautifully into its tropical surroundings.
