A Little Riff on a Vodka Martini

This variation on a vodka martini from Tobin Shea, bar director at Vibiana in Los Angeles, gets its subtly sweet herbaceous quality from Benedictine liqueur.
How to Make It

Combine vodka, vermouth, Benedictine, and bitters in a mixing glass filled with ice and stir until chilled. Strain into a martini glass. Garnish with lemon peel.
Ingredients
2 fl oz Simple Vodka
¾ fl oz dry vermouth
¼ fl oz Benedictine
2 dashes orange Bitters
lemon peel (for twist)
