Date syrup adds intrigue to a conventional vodka and citrus base.

Tea in the Casbah

 1 ½ fl oz vodka
 2 fl oz mint tea
 1 fl oz lemon juice
 1 fl oz date syrup
 soda water
 fresh mint sprigs for garnish

Shake all ingredients except soda water and strain over ice into a highball glass. Top with soda water and garnish with ample mint sprigs.

NOTE: If using store-bought date syrup, dilute it with an equal portion of water.
