Aquarium of the Bay

Located on the San Francisco Embarcadero’s Pier39, California’s ONLY Smithsonian-affiliated AZA-accredited Aquarium holds one of the longest underwater ocean tunnel systems spanning 300 feet. The horseshoe-configured acrylic tubes hold 24,000 animals in 750,000 gallons of salt water. The Embarcadero with 15 million visitors from around the world, tops the Golden Gate Bridge by over 3 million in pre-Covid numbers as the number one attraction.
