Under Canvas Wants to Help the 39 Million Americans Who Can’t Afford Summer Vacation With a ‘Pay What You Can’ Campaign
Think you can’t afford a luxury glamping vacation? Under Canvas wants to change that this summer
To apply, those who wish to pay a reduced price for a glamping experience this summer need to fill out Under Canvas’ application online, explaining why they’d like to be selected for a trip, where they would like to go, how many people are in their household, and provide a range of their income.
The company will consider all applications that are submitted before the campaign deadline of Tuesday, June 4. Decisions will be announced June 7.
The selected families will receive a stay at one of the eight Under Canvas camps, paying only what they can afford. Under Canvas has locations in national parks around the country, including the Grand Canyon, Zion (pictured), Moab, Yellowstone, Glacier, or Tucson. Accommodations include plush beds outdoors with terraces, sofas and even en-suite bathrooms.
Company representatives say they hope that the campaign will encourage applicants to spend quality time with their loved ones while igniting a passion to “protect and preserve our planet for generations to come.”
